About Me
I’m a researcher and lecturer in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow. Currently, I lecture HCI4, a 4th year course covering ubicomp, collaborative systems, and mobile device development.
My research interests lie primarily in ubicomp and mobile devices. My Ph.D. thesis investigated why current mobile applications are still mainly just reduced functionality versions of desktop applications. It also made recommendations on how developers can aim to design and implement more dynamic, flexible, context-aware applications. As a result from the work done throughout the thesis, a wealth of code was created to help developers achieve such systems.
